Telegram bot for business: 10 use cases and what drives the cost
10 tasks businesses in Uzbekistan solve with Telegram bots: leads, orders, promotions, loyalty and internal processes. How a bot differs from a Mini App and an admin panel, and what makes up the cost.
In Uzbekistan, Telegram has long been more than a messenger: businesses talk to clients there, run channels, take orders and coordinate tasks within the team. The logical next step is to automate what is still done by hand. Here are the tasks Telegram bots solve and what drives the cost of building one.
Why businesses should look at Telegram
- Nothing to install. Clients already have Telegram — they just tap «Start».
- Low entry barrier. No sign-up or password: Telegram passes the user's details to the bot.
- A direct channel. The bot can message users who started it: order status, reminders, personal offers.
- Fast launch. A bot does not need to be published in the App Store or Google Play.
There are limits too: a bot works only inside Telegram, and broadcasts are subject to platform limits and anti-spam rules.
10 tasks bots solve
Sales and marketing
- Lead capture. Booking a consultation, a test drive or a price quote. The bot asks questions and passes a ready lead with contacts to a manager.
- Catalogue and orders. The client picks a product, enters an address and payment method, and the manager gets the order in the CRM.
- Promotions. Registering receipts or promo codes, checking conditions, running prize draws.
- Quiz-based selection. A few questions — and the bot suggests the right model, plan or service.
- Loyalty programme. Bonus balance, personal promo codes, reminders.

Internal processes
- Requests between departments. Purchases, repairs, passes — approved by a manager with one tap.
- Field reports. Sales reps and service engineers send photos, geolocation and checklists.
- System notifications. A new website order, a payment, a failure — the message goes straight to the responsible group.
- Dealers and partners. Taking orders, sharing price lists and marketing materials.
- HR and onboarding. Answers to new employees' common questions, policies, leave requests.

Bot, Mini App or admin panel?
A regular bot communicates through messages and buttons. It is enough for leads, notifications and simple scenarios.
A Telegram Mini App (WebApp) is a full interface inside Telegram: a catalogue with photos and filters, a cart, a booking calendar, a personal account. You need it when there are too many buttons. More: WebApp development.
An admin panel is a web interface for your team: leads, users, texts, broadcasts, reports. Almost any bot that lives longer than one promotion needs one. More: admin panel development.
What drives the cost of a bot
| Factor | What is taken into account |
|---|---|
| Scenarios | Number of dialogue branches, steps and languages |
| Integrations | CRM, 1C, website, Google Sheets, payment systems |
| Mini App | Whether a full interface inside Telegram is needed |
| Admin panel | Roles, reports, broadcasts, content management |
| Load | Mass promotions with many participants need a different architecture |
| Support | Server, monitoring, improvements after launch |
We build a typical lead and sales bot in 2–4 weeks. For solutions with a catalogue, Mini App, payments and integrations, we estimate the timeline and cost after discussing the scenarios — the estimate is free.
How to prepare
- Define one main task. For example: «collect test-drive requests from ads» or «move purchase requests out of private chats».
- Describe the current process. Who does what, and in what order.
- List the systems the bot needs to work with.
- Decide who will manage the bot after launch.
- Think about where users will come from: ads, QR codes, the website, a channel, employees.
Common mistakes
Too many features in the first version. A bot that «does everything» takes longer to build and is harder to use. Launch one scenario and develop it based on real statistics.
No one responsible on your side. Leads arrive but are not handled on time. Decide in advance who answers and how fast.
Long questionnaires. Every extra question lowers the share of users who reach the end.
Unwanted broadcasts. Frequent ad messages get the bot blocked, and Telegram limits sending.
A bot without an admin panel. If changing promotion text requires a developer, the bot quickly becomes outdated.
Only one language. If your clients speak Uzbek and Russian, the bot should offer a language choice at the first step.
From our practice
For HAVAL in Uzbekistan we built a new Telegram bot in 2025 and kept the user base of the previous bot, so subscribers did not have to be collected again. The bot includes a dealer map, and staff manage it through an admin panel. More about the project.
For World Medicine, the bot is part of a wider system together with the website, a product catalogue API and an iOS app. It is covered by a support contract: we improve it together with the website and take care of backups. More about the project.
FAQ
How long does development take?
A typical lead and sales bot takes 2–4 weeks. Solutions with a catalogue, payments, a Mini App and integrations — based on the scenario discussion.
Can an existing bot be moved to another contractor?
Yes, if you have access to the bot account, the source code and the database — which is why these should be fixed in the contract. We moved the user base of HAVAL's previous bot to the new one, for example.
Does a bot need its own server?
Yes, a bot has to run continuously — on your server or on the studio's hosting; requirements depend on the load.
