Creating a WebApp Application
A Telegram Mini App opens from a bot button: catalogue, cart, bookings, user account, with nothing to install and no sign-up. We design the screens, build the front end and back end, and connect payments. Timeline: 1–2 months.
A WebApp (Telegram Mini App) is a web interface that opens right inside Telegram from a bot button. Users get full screens with photos, filters, a cart and forms, but download nothing and do not register: Telegram passes basic user data to the app itself. For a business, it is a way to get an app without publishing to the App Store and Google Play.
When a WebApp makes sense
- A catalogue of dozens or hundreds of items that is awkward to browse with bot buttons.
- You need a cart, options (colour, size, trim level) and price calculation.
- Appointments and bookings with a calendar and time slots.
- A user account: order history, bonuses, statuses.
- Configurators and calculators: trim level, loan, insurance.
Case study
For Changan in Uzbekistan we built the website for the brand's market launch in about 5–6 weeks, then set up an API through which the Telegram bot pulls data from the site. A WebApp is built on the same kind of link: models and content are managed in one place, and the website and Telegram show the same information. See the project.
FAQ
How is a WebApp different from a regular bot?
A bot talks in messages and buttons. A WebApp shows full screens like a website or an app, so it suits catalogues and complex forms.
How is a WebApp different from a mobile app?
A WebApp does not need to be published in app stores or installed, but it only works inside Telegram and has limited access to phone features. If you need a full iOS and Android app, we build that too, from design to development.
Can the same code be used for the website?
Partly: the interface and the back end can be shared. We discuss this during the analysis stage.
Do users have to register?
Usually not: Telegram passes the user ID to the app. A phone number can be requested separately, with the user's consent.
